We collect what the site needs to work, and nothing for advertising. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use analytics that follow you around. This page says what we keep, why, who else handles it, and how to see or delete it. Last updated 4 October 2026.
Who Wants What (whowantswhat.eu) is run by Muhammad Zahid, who is responsible for your personal data here (the “controller” under the GDPR). For anything about your data, email hello@whowantswhat.eu.
Photos you upload are resized and saved again, which removes hidden details like the place a photo was taken (animated GIFs are kept as they are).
If you choose “Continue with Google”, you sign in through Google and Google shares a small amount of your Google Account information with us. This is all we ask for and all we do with it:
Who Wants What's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We don't use your data for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't make automated decisions about you.
Some of these services are in the United States, so your data is transferred outside the EU. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses in each provider's data processing terms.
Go to your profile and choose “Delete my account”. It removes your account, your posts, responses, messages, reviews, stores (with their products and the orders they received), your photos, and their change history. You'll be asked to sign in again first, to make sure it's you.
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to object to how we use it, or to receive it in a format you can take elsewhere. Email hello@whowantswhat.eu and we'll answer within a month. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
We only store what the site needs to work, like keeping you signed in and remembering your cart. See cookies and browser storage for the full list.
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters for how we use your data, we'll tell you on the site first.
